Delhi University teachers are yet to get 40% arrear.

The Delhi University Teachers' Association (DUTA) is still waiting for their arrears to be paid and has asked the UGC  to pay additional maintenance grant for payment of revised salaries and arrearsto its faculty members.

UGC has recently revised the pay structure of teachers.

According to the Ministry of Human Resource Department's (HRD) instructions, 40% of the totalarrears of the central university teachers' were to be cleared off by February 20.

The DU teachers are still left out in this context, whereas the payments of the arrears have already been made to the teachers' of JNU  and Jamia Milia University.

If the arrear is not paid in this fiscal, it may attract estra burden of Income Tax to the teachers.

DUTA has also condemned the attempt of new semester system at the undergraduate level.
