ew Delhi, Dec 30 (PTI) The recommendations of the Wage Boards for working journalists and non-journalists and other newspaper employees will be submitted to the Government tomorrow.
The report of the Wage Boards would then be examined by the Labour and Employment Ministry before being put up before the Cabinet for its approval, said a top official in the Ministry.
The Boards were constituted three years back for the purpose of fixing or revising rates of wages in respect of working journalists and non-journalists and other newspaper employees.
The official said the recommendations would be taken "seriously" by the Ministry.
The term of the Wage Boards under the chairmanship of Justice G R Majithia had come to an end on May 23. However, Justice Majithia had sought an extension up to December 31 to submit his report.
