ING Vaisya Bank and Central Bank offered second Option for Pension

Pvt. Sector Bank ING Vaisya Bank and Central bank of India has offered second option for pension. The option for another option for pension opens on 4th Sep 2010 and closes on 2nd Nov 2010.

Todays News item is "Govt.employees near retirement age should not be disturbed"

But, poor Bank Officers after serving morethan three decades of service and taken VRS as per Officers service Regulations are not given second option for pension. Is it not harrasment of aged people who sincerely worked for the bank for several decades ?

CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA HAS USED THE WORD AS RETIRED AND NO WHERE TOLD THAT VOOLUNTARY RETIRED ARE NOT ELIGIBLE 6. All Serving Employees/Retired Employees/Family of the Deceased Employees/Employees retired under CBIEVRS., 2001, who are eligiblefor another option for pension as per Para 1 above should exercise option in the prescribed form only.
MENTION OF CBIEVRS HAS ALSO BEEN MADE SPECIFICALLY OTHERWISE THEY WOULD HAVE BECOME INELIGIBLE IF SERVICE COMPLETED WOULD HAVE BEEN LESS THAN 20 YEARS.
PLEASE GO THROUGH THE CIRCULAR AND READ AS PER COMMAS PUT BETWEEN THE WORDS...

para-1 states as:
1. WHO CAN OPT FOR ANOTHER OPTION FOR PENSION:
i.Employees, who were in service of the Bank prior to 29th September, 1995 and continue in Service of the Bank as on 27th April,
2010 (herein after called as Serving Employees) and
ii.Employees, who were in the Service of the Bank prior to 29th September, 1995 and Retired prior to 27th April, 2010 (hereinafter
called as Retired Employees) and
iii.Family of those Employees, who were in the Service of the Bank prior to 29th September, 1995 and had died after Retirement
MENTION OF CBIEVRS HAS ALSO BEEN MADE SPECIFICALLY OTHERWISE THEY WOULD HAVE BECOME INELIGIBLE IF SERVICE COMPLETED WOULD HAVE BEEN LESS THAN 20 YEARS.
