Allahabad High Court has pronounced verdict on the Ayodhya title suit. Senior advocate and BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad emerged from court today to say that the three-judge bench had ruled in a majority judgement 2:1, that one-third part of the disputed land should be given to the Sunni Waqf Board, one-third to the Nirmohi Akhara and one-third to the party for 'Ram Lalla'.

Air India wants to re-negotiate wages
The cashstrapped Air India wants to renegotiate wages with its 35,000-odd employees and is looking for a clearance from the highest level of government through a more carefully worded cabinet note.

The Gujarat Govt. on Thursday announced 10 per cent increase in dearness allowance (DA) for its employees. The increased DA, effective from July 1, 2010, will mean the state employees will get 45 per cent over and above their pay scales as against the current 35 per cent, an official release said.

The Allahabad High Court verdict on the Ayodhya title suit will not be delivered tomorrow with the Supreme Court deferring it by a week in a sudden turn of events today deciding to hear the plea for postponement next Tuesday.

The state cabinet on Wednesday approved the government’s decision to allow part-time teachers of state-aided and state-run colleges to continue in service till the age of 60, without a break in tenure.

Central Govt. employees to get 30 day's Ad hoc Bonus for the F.Y. 2009-10. All Group C, D and non gazetted Group B employees will get the Non Productivity linked Bonus. The quantum of Bonus will be calculated on the maximum amount of Rs 3500 a month and be divided by 30.4 and the amount stands at Rs 3454/-.

EPFO raises PF interest rate to 9.5 per cent for 2010-11
Ahead of the festival season, the retirement fund manager EPFO's Trustees today raised interest rate on provident fund deposits to 9.5 per cent from 8.5 per cent now, benefiting nearly 4.71 crore employees of both public and private sectors.

Productivity-linked reward for port and dock employees
The Central Government today approved payment of a productivity-linked reward (PLR) at the rate of 17.34 per cent of the annual salary/wage to port workers, employees and officers for 2009-10.
Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday, no holiday tomorrow.

Supreme Court asks Govt. to form separate pay commission for armed force.
Slamming the Centre for making army personnel run from pillar to post on their salary disputes, the Supreme Court today directed the government to examine the idea of setting up a separate Pay Commission for both serving and retired personnel of the armed forces.
Central Govt. employees' health insurance scheme is ready, likely to seek cabinet approval soon.
The government has formulated a scheme that will allow its employees to choose between a health insurance plan provided by an insurer or that from state-run Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).
RBI for bank pay parity
Reserve Bank of India governor Duvvuri Subbarao today advised state-owned banks to increase the pay packets of its executives if they wanted to head off an inevitable exodus to private banks that offer better compensation packages.

Lecturer pay structure: HRD Ministry issues clarification
Following are the salient features of the letter dated 26th Aug 2010 from HRD Dept. to UGC :
"(i) Allow Rs.43,000 as entry level pay in the Pay Band Rs. 37400-67000 (PB-4) plus an academic grade pay of Rs. 10,000 to directly recruited Principals of Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate Colleges appointed on or after 1.1.2006.
