Yes, it is a good news for the teachers working in the engineering/technical colleges. But in the notification it is directed to the secretary , AICTE to notify the pay scales. So it is requested to the Secretary. AICTE to notify it as early as possible.
Dr. D Kumar
What should be the designation of current Assistant Professors and what should be their pay
the limit given for the number of post of professor should get abolished. As per norms of AICTE related to staff-student ratio, requirement of professor will be much more.
ITS CERTAINLY A GOOD NEWS FOR ALL THE ENGINEERING COLLEGE LECTURERS,BECAUSE THEY WERE THE LESS PAID PEOPLE EVENTHOGH THEY HAD HIGHER PG LIKE Mtech or ME, WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF THIS SCALE THEY WILL GET ENOUGH SALARY AND ITS ALMOST EQUAL TO ANY MNC COMPANIES PAYING TO THEIR SOFTWARE ENGINEERSS....GOOD NEWS,,,CHEERS ,, BUT ANYONE PL LETUS KNOW WHEN IT WILL BE OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED..?
congrats to all,,,but the recommendation is adreessed to the secretary of AICTE , but when it will be given green signal to GO AHEAD for implementing thr scale...pl anyone answer this?

AICTE will take its own time to direct the respective state governments to take necessary steps. This may be 2-3 months as happened for the UGC case.
Dear all,
You want to know when AICTE will notify pay scales for degree level technical teachers. Makke a guess with the following past record for
5th pay commission revision :
Notification date by MHRD
October 9, 2008
Notification date by AICTE
May 3, 2000
6th Pay Commision revision:
Notification date by MHRD
October 7, 2009
Notification by AICTE (likely date)
May 1, 2011
Why you should think AICTE will work faster this time? Have you done some facour to them this time? Awake, flood the AICTE Chairman office with request letters (because none of you can fight for injustice to you) to notify revised scales in 2 weeks. They have to copy paste only.
Will you act? Better act fast. Other wise tell me one reason why they (AICTE) should act fast?
Dear all,
I am sorry for error in dates of circulars in my previous post please read as under:

Dear degree level technical/management education faculty,
Can any one share the information when AICTE will notify revised pay scales?
If we let them play in the hands of Owners of private engg. colleges/management institutes, then I have already told the likely date. Please suggest some innovative methods to make AICTE to take quick action on this front.
No KC sir, you have given a detaol of 5th pay commission notification dates by MHRD and AICTE ,, its ok,, but it was early 2000...but now this is 2009...we may hope for early notification by AICTE to state governments...am i rite?

This notification is only applied to the degree level institutions. what about the polytechnic teachers. is there any news?
yes as i know , aided polytechnic institute will also be benefitted from sixth pay...
Dear All,
This is not AICTE pay scale. This is just a notification from MHRD to State level Universities that if they want they can adopt the UGC scale for the faculty of the technical institutes coming under them and the extent of assistant being to them for this.
PLEASE DONOT CALL IT AICTE PAY NOTIFICATION. AICTE scale will be on the based on Goverdhan committee report which is yet to be notified by AICTE.
Thanks,
Any update regarding AICTE Pay ......
Only left category for revised pay is state funded technical institute...even bank employee get revised pay....but i think these technical guys deserve this.....
if anybody wants authentic information about aicte implementation of 6th pay for polytechnic teachers, they must visit aicte website. any other information is rumour only.
I don't know why 'educated' scholars of engineering and polytechnic colleges are mad after money while they are already drwing more than what they require for their family. remedy: the reduction of their desires (not needs) will lead to tension free state about 6th pay.
Dr Dhirendra Sharma,MLVTEC Bhilwara (Rajasthan)-
Sir this circular is from MHRD requesting AICTE to issue notifications for revision of the pay consequent to the 6th CPC. Would you pl kind enough to let me know about the AICTE notifications subsequent to it ?

Yet how many years it will take to implement the proposed scales by AICTE to Engineering Institute personnel? Why AICTE is so much delaying this process? Why AICTE is not acting on implementing the scales?
It's really a good decision. After all we people making the Backbone of the INDIA. If we are not supported than the people of INDIA get directly effected and this should not be happened.

There should be time bound implementation of sixth pay comission for teachers because it is already too late certainly when technical education is run by the private management. Then it is necessary to have strict watch and we want clearcut formula for calculating fixation of salary.
In this notification teachers those who are working in Humanitiy dept their qualification and eligiblity for associate professor is not mention.

Hi, I am Shiva Kumar C (BE).
I am working as Lecturer in a Polytechnic College, Mysore since 1 year. Under VTU, I can do M.Tech if I have an experience of min 3 yrs. I am lookinf forward to do my M.Tech & getting over into an Engg college. If I opt for part time M.Tech, it will be almost 7 yrs by the time I complete my M.Tech. How does my Diploma College eperience is counted while joining Engg College? To climb into the designation Asst Professor after joining Engg College, which of the below options is quicker/better? Is it better to quit the job & go for regular (2yrs) M.Tech or shall i plan for part time?
Please reply me....
