WB teachers' maternity leave increased to 180 days.

Madhya Shiksha Parshad has enhanced the maternity leave of school teachers to 180 days with effect from 01.01.2011. Earlier they were supposed to get 135 days of maternity leave. Parshad chairman Mr Anjan Sengupta informed reporters about the new notification. Now West Bengal teachers will be getting maternity leave at par with the state and central employees.
