The Jharkhand government today(15/08) announced to increase the salary of 45,000 odd fourth grade employees of the state.
Addressing the Independence Day function here today, Deputy Chief Minister-cum Finance Minister Hemant Soren said, "The government has decided to continue with the fourth grade system and revise the payscale of around 45,000 such employees with effect from April 11, 2011." "They have been put in the scale of Rs 5,200-20,200. The grade pay for the 10th pass group D employees will be Rs 1,800 and that of non-matriculate employees would be 1,650," he added.
He also said the state government would bring a bill for the benefit of urban hawker and street sellers in the coming monsoon session of the Assembly.
The government had also chalked out a plan to ensure the availability of pure drinking water for every citizen of the state by 2017
