Memorandum on Wage Revision
We bring to your kind notice the deep concern and anguish of employees over the recalcitrant attitude of GIPSA Management exhibited during the course of Wage talk on 2nd August, 2010 at Hyderabad by tagging Managerial Agenda like extension of TMP, Outsourcing, Unilateral Code of Conduct for TUs, Compulsory Retirement, Mandatory passing of tests etc. WE are at pain that the Management expects the employees, whose average age is nearing 50, to render service at far off places leaving aside their families under TMP. You will please appreciate that for last 20 years, there is no recruitment in the Industry. In 2004 nearly 8000 employees and officers took SVRS from 4 Public Sector General Insurance Companies. With regular exit like death and superannuation’s over the period, that staff strength has drastically depleted. On the contrary, the work pressure has increased manifold with the employees and officers are leaving their offices late in the evening. This is the phenomena in almost all Offices of 4 Public Sector General Insurance Companies. In this backdrop instead of motivating the existing employees and officers to achieve corporate goals and compete with private companies by rendering better customer service management of GIPSA is insisting on imposition of obnoxious Managerial Agenda, which have had a demoralizing effect on them. Having been aggrieved and anguished over the attitude of management, the employees at the call of GIEAIA is going to hold demonstration today followed by “MASS DHARANA” in all centres on 9th August 2010 all over the country.
We urge upon you to kindly see reasons and settle the issue with a pragmatic approach so as to bring industrial parity and harmony.
