West Bengal Govt employees are going to get yet another installment of Dearness Allowance. Finance Minister Dr Ashim Dasgupta announced the hike on Friday.

The installment will be 6% of revised basic pay of the state employees. Like the earlier occasions, the employees are not going to get any arrear for this. It will be effected with 01.12.2009. Total Dearness Allowance with this hike comes to 22% of new basic, still 5% lagging behind the central employees.
Nearly 10 lacs govt. employees, teachers and non teaching staff, municipal and local authority employees will be benefited. According to finance minister, it will also benefit nearly 4 lac 60 thousand pensioners.
