After a long wait the Mizoram government has finally decided to implement the recommendations of the sixth pay commission. Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla today stated that the state will see the recommendations being implemented from 1st January 2010. Giving the reason for such a decision, Thanhawla affirmed that the state government has taken such a measure to remove every single problem in the groupings of state government employees. He further added that a high level committee has been constituted, which will be led by Minister H Liansailova, State finance commissioner C Lasawta was also present at the press conference. He pointed out that an additional expenditure of Rs 151 crore will be made to meet the outstanding and another Rs 68.7 crore will be used during the current fiscal.
