Patna High Court on Tuesday directed the state government to enhance the salary structure of the employees of the civil courts in the state and make it commensurate with the sixth pay commission of the central govt. employees.
A division Bench, comprising acting Chief Justice Shiva Kirti Singh and Justice Shyam Kishore Sharma, issued the directive on a representation of the Association of State Civil Court Employees, treating the same as a writ petition.
The court also directed the state government to start paying the hiked salary to the court employees within a month and apprise the court of the time it would take to pay the arrears.
The court employees pleaded that the state government employees and the employees of the Patna High Court were already getting enhanced salary.
