Team Hazare asks govt staff to take mass leave, Chidambaram hopes no response.

Team Hazare today asked government employees across the country to go on mass leave tomorrow to show solidarity with Anna Hazare but Union Home Minister P Chidambaram hoped they would not respond, describing the call as "completely wrong."

Announcing Team Hazare's agitational plans tomorrow, Hazare's close associate and lawyer Prashant Bhushan urged government servants to join their cause and take a mass leave for a day tomorrow and join the protests in their city.

Home Minister, P Chidambaram on Tuesday hoped government servants will not respond to the "wrong call" of mass leave given by Team Anna to them to join their protests on the Lokpal issue.

"It is a completely wrong call. In a free country, anybody can even give wrong calls," he said when asked to comment on Team Anna's appeal to government servants to take mass leave.

"I sincerely hope that government servants will not respond to such wrong call," Chidambaram said.
