LPG subsidy for people above Rs 10 lakh income might be stopped: Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu

The NDA government is mulling to lift the subsidy on LPG cylinder for consumers whose annual income is above Rs 10 lakh, Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said here today.
"Dharmendra Pradhan (Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas) told me that the Government has found many of illegal gas connections and is saving thousands of crore of rupees by stopping supply to those consumers," the Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs said. "They (the government) are also planning that the consumers whose income is above Rs 10 lakh, gas subsidy will not be given. Why do they need subsidy? Why ministers need subsidy? So far, 30 lakh people have given up LPG subsidy. That subsidy will be given to poor people," he said.

Keep on penalising the honest tax payers and rewarding the lousy tax evaders.
In this country, an honest taxpayer does not get good healthcare, good education, good roads, good civic amenities and a peaceful sleep for a night. Go ahead and remove the subsidy also. What difference does it make?
You think all those who report their income below Rs. 10 lakhs are poor? The country is full of thugs and thieves who don't file their return at all, forget about showing correct income. Catch those thugs first.

The subsidy on LPG should be stopped for all. It is very impracticable proposal to stop subsidy to individuals whose income exceeds Rs. 10 lakhs per annum because it is not feasible to segregate those personnel whose income exceeds the upper limit. To begin with all employees working with central/ state Govt. PSU including banking industry, autonomous bodies, judiciary etc. and the individuals having landed property be removed from the subsidy list. Thereafter in the second stage whole subsidy system can be removed once for all.

subsidy बंद कर देनी चाहिए परंतु कई ऐसे भी हैं जो महीने में ही लाखों कमाते हैं पर टैक्स के नाम पे कुछ भी नहीं भरते।
इनमें ज्यादातर दूकानदार, माकन मालिक, छोटी दुकान या रेहड़ी वाले समिलित हैं।
टैक्स transactions मतलब लेन देन पे भी लगना चहिए। और बड़े नोटों वाली मुद्रा वापिस ले लेनी चाहिए। तभी 95% पता लग पाएगा की कौन कितना कमा रहा है ऐसे नहीं।
टैक्स ज्यादातर सरकारी कर्मचारी ही देते हैं। उन्हीं को ही सरकार बार बार निशाना बनती है। उन सभी को निशाना बनाओ जिनकी आय 10 लाख से ऊपर है।
यह संभव है अगर सारी लेन देन प्रक्रिया internet banking से कर दें। अमूलन जो भी कुछ बेचता है उसके पास कार्ड स्वाइप करने की मशीन हो।
