Seventh Pay Commission constituted

As mentioned in this blog a couple of days ago, Prime Minister approves formation of seventh cpc. Retd. Supreme Court justice Mr Ashok Kumar Mathur will be the chairman of the commission while Sri Vivek Rae, Secy, Petroleum and natural Gas and Dr Rathin Roy, Director, NIPFP will be the other members of the commission. Smt. Meena Agarwal, Officer on Spl. duty, Dept. of expenditure will be the secretary of this commission.

This commission will look into the pay and pension as well as other benefit of central Govt. employees and pensioners. The pay structure was last revised from 01.01.2006 and scheduled to be revised with effect from 01.01.2016.
