A large number of state government employees in Rajasthan today(26/04) boycotted work demanding cadre review and pay revision.
Rajasthan Joint Employee and Mazdoor Sangh president Mahesh Vyas said around 54,000 employees across the stated boycotted work and staged protests outside district collectorates.
The employees, who are part of the ministerial cadre, are against the report of Bhatnagar Committee, which was formed by the state government to look into the discrepancies in implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission.
They threatened to go on a pen-down strike if the demands were not met.
In Jaipur, the workers staged a sit-in behind the state secretariat.
However, the secretariat cadre employees did not take part in the the protest
