The Karnataka State Government Employees Association on Sunday sought revision of the salary structure of the state government employees.
The association also threatened to go on a strike if the government fails to do so in the coming budget. H K Ramu, president of the association, Mysore unit, accused the government of neglecting the demands of the employees and said Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra governments have already revised the pay scale of their employees based on the recommendations of the sixth Pay Commission.
A panel led by IAS officer Subir Harisingh constituted to look into the pay revision demands should submit its recommendations by March 10 to facilitate its inclusion in the budget, he said.
