The problem relating to merger of certain pay scales are being sorted our as there is no benefit in in a promotion in the same pay band and grade pay. The Grade Pays may be changed accordingly.

why wait ? the formula can easily devised
it is
basic pay on a given date after 1-1-06 =
{(BP x 1.86)+ new GP}x (1.03)^
where BP = old basic excluding DP and DA
and ^ = the number of years in service after 1-1-06
DA on 1-7-08 = 16 %
HRA 10/20/30 %
CCA+TA = 1000 apx
Dear friends,
Yes, the revised DA rates mentioned in this blog is correct as per inflation data. Presently, the Band - 4 starting point fixation is unknown and we have to wait for the detailed paper. I have come across an arrear calculation at the below site.
http://pay-commission-india.blogspot.com/
This incidentally provides the calculation based on the minimum assured 1.86 factor and with the exact DA rates. Helpful indeed.
How can you suggest DA on 01/07/2008, as DA should be based on inflation of July,2008 August,2008 & Sep,2008.
