Dress Code for Andhra Pradesh teachers : No Jeans, T shirts or mobile

Teachers in more than two lakh schools in Andhra Pradesh have been told to follow a dress code “appropriate to the profession” and not carry cellphones to class. The new dress code bans teachers from wearing jeans and T-shirts in school.
School education minister Sake Sailajanath said the “glittering and glamorous dress” material worn by teachers were disturbing the concentration of students.

Maharashtra promises Univ/College teachers to pay arrears in April & May

The state has decided to release Rs.1,526 crore as arrears by the end of May to university teachers who have boycotted the assessment of exam papers until their salaries are raised as per the recommendations of the sixth pay commission.Appealing to college teachers to resume work, higher and technical education minister Rajesh Tope made this announcement in the legislative council on Tuesday. He said the state had decided to advance the date of payment from December to May.

No decision on D.A. installment of Central Govt. employees in cabinet meeting

Decision delayed on additional DA for CG Employees and Pensioners..!
There was a great expectations among the employees and pensioners of Central Government today on declaration of additional dearness allowance from 1.1.2013. But, there was no such decision take in the Cabinet meeting due to the Finance Minister P.Chidambaram out on a tour to Japan. Earlier the agenda came up before the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, sources said.
There is no authentic information on the possible date of next Cabinet meeting to be held

Cabinet likely to approve Central D.A. from January 2013 tomorrow

Union Cabinet is likely to approve tomorrow a proposal to increase dearness allowance (DA) to 80 per cent from existing 72 per cent benefiting about 50 lakh employees and 30 lakh pensioners of the central government.
"The Union Cabinet may consider the finance ministry proposal to increase the DA by 8 per cent to 80 per cent in its meeting scheduled for tomorrow", a source said.
