Haryana CM announces financial bonanza for state employees

Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today announced a bonanza of incentives for state government employees, which included increase in Medical Allowance, dearness allowance and quick implementation of report of G. Madhvan Committee regarding pay anomalies.
The Chief Minister, who held a meeting with office bearers of Sarv Karamchari Mahasang, here today, said that apart from this the demands put up by them would also be consider sympathetically.
An official spokesman said that the Medical Allowance of the employees would be increased by 10 per cent. The Dearness Allowance would be increased by 6 per cent thus making it 125 per cent as against the existing 119 per cent. This would put an additional burden of Rs 315.34 crore per year on the state exchequer.
He said that the Chief Minister has decided to soon implement the report of G. Madhvan Committee on pay anomalies of the employees after studying it. A committee would also be constituted to remove pay anomalies of the employees working in various Boards and Corporations of the government.
The Chief Minister also said that the state government has already made a provision of 4000 crores in the budget to implement report of the 7th Pay Commission. As soon as the Central government implements it, the state government will follow the same promptly. The employees of the Boards and the Corporations would also be benefitted.

The Chief Minister also announced to soon implement the transfer policy of the teachers, under which they would be given eight options. Apart from this those teachers who would be prepared to serve at any place in the state, would get incentive in addition to the salary. He said that a similar policy would also be implemented for the employees of the Health Department.
When the office bearers of the Mahasang suggested the Chief Minister to allocate one feeder to the official to the power utilities to minimize the line losses, the Chief Minister responded in affirmative. He said that new buses would be added to the fleet of the state roadways.
The representatives of various Associations of the employees appreciated state government’s policy of zero tolerance towards corruption. They also informed the Chief Minister that at present they were discharging their duties without any political pressure.
Those present in the meeting included Kanwar Singh Yadav of Haryana Sarv Karamchari Mahasang, members of Haryana Roadways Union including, Nithana, Jagmohan, Omveer Mehra, a representative of Public Health Engineering department, Narender Kumar and Mrs Kaushalya of Health department.
