In this advertisement, SBI described total emoluments as :
EMOLUMENTS:
PAY: The starting basic pay is Rs 16,900/- (with 4 increments) in the scale of Rs 14500-600/7-18700-700/
2-20100-800/7-25700 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale I. The official will also be eligible for
D.A., H.R.A & C.C.A as per rules in force from time to time. The compensation per annum at Mumbai is
Rs.8,00,000/- plus. The break-up of monthly compensation is as under:
Cash Component Rs. 30, 370/-
Bank’s contribution to PF & Pension Scheme Rs. 4,673/-
Housing (Lease Rental) Rs. 29,500/-
Perquisites (Conveyance, Newspapers, Entertainment
allowance, House & Furniture Maintenance etc. Rs. 4,130/-
In addition, the Officers are also entitled to other benefits like –
(i) Medical Aid for self (100%) and for family (75%)
(ii) Home Travel Concession/Leave Fare Concession
(iii) Concessional Interest Rates for Housing/Car/Personal Loans
The salary scales are under revision with effect from November 2012
The "Housing (Lease Rental) Rs. 29,500/-" requires some clarification. Existing employees may clarify this in the "comment" section.

THIS IS TOTAL BOGUS..... BCOZ IF AN OFFICER TOOK A RENTED FLAT HE WILL GET THE REIMBURSMENT ON PRODUCTION OF RENT RECIEPT AND IN CITY LIKE MUM IT WILL BE MAX 29500/- BUT ON PRODUCTION OF RENT RECEIPT.
THE ACTUALL GROSS PAY IS 30500 P.M AND AFTER DEDUCTION AS UNDER
NPS-3000/- , INCOME TAX-800[APPX]
UNION FEE-120/- PROFF TAX-130/-
BANK'S WELL FARE FUND-200/-
THE NET WILL BE-25700/- NOTHING ELSE AND WE ALL KNOW THAT IS MUCH LOWER THAN A IAS OR EVEN A STATE GOVT A GRP OFFICER

I completely agree with previous comment.This is just a bluff by SBI.The current management is showing this remuneration as a complete show off and a bubble as is their profit and service.
Why a PSB like SBI is spreading this type of bogus information to public through media can't be understood. The total text is far from reality.
even though figures are much inflated but this is BEST you can get in Banking...SBI is best in terms of alloeances and benefits compared to pathetic condition in other PSB's...go for it.....

there is nothing bogus in the so called salary information given by State Bank of India, It just an attempt by bank to show the actual compensation as MNCs do.I even doubt that SBI management is little conservative in showing the actual package.
Being a PO in SBI, you will get additional 4 increments, that comes around almost Rs.4000 more in salary than other bank's POs.
In addition to that 90000/- as furniture advance (which is under revision) for the period varying inbetween 3 to 10 years. Plus monthly perks like 50 ltr petrol, Cleaning allowance, Casual labour charges, News paper allownace.
Now bank is also paying personal entertainment allowance to POs.
Mobile phone upto the cost of 10000/- with monthly bill of Rs. 500.00 is given to all POs.
The lease accomodation with taxes is being paid to all POs.
The best thing is SBI's two year training that no organisation in India can replace.
Foreing assignment is also one of the luxury that SBI have.
So to join SBI wont be a bad decision at the end.

SBI PO stands no where with 4600 GP of GOI as on date in over all calculation along with peace in mind.
BEWARE...never join SBI...be it PO or clerk ( now assistant)...your life will be ruined. They will treat you as bonded labour and torture u mentally...if u r honest and hardworking...they will almost kill you.

IF ANY ORGANISATION STATES INFLATED PAY COMPONENTS THIS IMPLIES THEY WANT TO WOO THE YOUTH. BUT GOVT OF INDIA NEVER HAS TO WOO ANYBODY.
BEST THING IN LIFE IS FREEDOM. WE SHOULD SACRIFICE SOME FREEDOM FOR SOME COMPENSATION. THERE SHOULD NOT BE FULL OF FREE TIME OR NO TIME AT ALL. BOTH THESE CONDITIONS ARE BAD. THE SBI WHEN SHOWS INFLATED SALARIES SITING HOUSING LEASE OF MUMBAI, IT CLEARLY SHOWS HOW DESPERATELY IT IS. BUT IT SHOULD NOT FLASH THIS DESPERATE, BECAUSE IT IS NO DOUBT IS THE LARGEST BANK. AND BANKING SECTOR IS FOR ROBOTS NOW A DAYS, NOT FOR ART, LOVE, PASSION,EDUCATION AND RESEARCH. FINANCE IS NOT EVERYTHING IN LIFE, STOP IMITATING WEST.START LIVING AND BELIVING
