Maharashtra hikes D.A. Issues Order

Maharashtra hikes D.A. with effect from Nov'12
Employees and pensioners to be benifited.
State government has finally decided to increase the dearness allowance of state government employees by 7%. Finance Minister Jayant Patil announced this on Wednesday.

Almost 16 lakh state government employees to get benefit of this decision. Also around 4 lakh retired state government officers also going to get this benefit. But this dearness allowance will be applicable from November 1, and that is why government employees are a bit unhappy.
Central Government increased the dearness allowance for their employees by 7 per cent from July 1, 2012. This same dearness allowance was the demand of the state government employees and they were fighting for this dearness allowance from past one month. Finance Minister Jayant Patil agreed this proposal in the cabinet meeting, and also stated that State government is ready to approve and apply the 7 per cent additional dearness allowance for the state government employees.
This decision of government is taken well before Diwali and it gave a sigh of relief for the state government employees.
