Likely Central D.A. from 1st July 2015 (Updated)

With the release of CPI(IW) No. of May 2015 (Increase of 2 points), It is almost certain that central employees will get another 6% of Dearness Allowance from 1st July 2015. Only one moth's figure (June'15) is needed for the final calculation of average of last 13 month's figure. Based on the last 11 month's figure it can be safely predicted that total D.A. will be 119% for the next half year, possibly the last before new pay scale is introduced. Minor increase or decrease of 1/2 points for CPI(IW) No. for June'15 (Which will be released on 31st July) will have no impact on the D.A. from July 1.

Likely Bank D.A. from Aug to Oct'15 : Increase of 21 to 25 slabs

Labour Bureau,Ministry of Labour and Employment,Govt of India, released today, the All India Consumer Price Index Numbers (AICPIN)for Industrial workers(IW) Base 2001=100 for the month of MAY ’15 which stood at 258 points with an increase of 2 points while compared to April’15 figure.
Consequent upon the merger of CPI at 4440 points with Basic Pay under10th BPS/7thJN, serving employees new DA formula  came  into  effect from 1.11.2012.( with DA factor @0.10 for every rise/fall of 4 points  on CPI (IW) Base 1960=100)
Accordingly the  confirmed index figures for April & May are as follows:
                 Base 2001=100                    1960=100
April                   256                             5843.43
May                    258                             5889.08
If the  present level of index for May is continued at same level in June also, there may  have  21 slabs increase in DA payable to Bank workmen/Officers  w.e.f Aug.'15.
There is also  likelihood of further increase of 1  or 2 points in June index figure in such case increase of 25 slabs too can be expected.
This is only an assumption based on  the past trend as well as on latest  movement of index numbers.Exact DA  for next half year will be arrived based on average index numbers  of April,May and  June’15.(which will be released in next month only).

Why OROP is delayed ? Find the possible answer

MoD sources said that the main reason behind the delay is the minuscule increase that jawans may get if OROP is implemented in its present form.
As ex-servicemen steadfastly press for the implementation of One Rank One Pension (OROP), top Ministry of Defence (MoD) sources have said that the main reason behind the delay is not funds, but the minuscule increase that jawans may get if OROP is implemented in its present form.
Sources said that the concern within the government is that the jawans may get an increase of just about “few hundred” rupees per month — a raise that may not justify the decade long OROP agitation
