                       Labour Bureau,Ministry of Labour & Employment,Govt.of India has released the All India Consumer Price Index(IW)Base 2001=100 for the month of August’13 today which stood at 237   point with an increase of 2 points compared to July figure

                       Confirmed CPI (IW) for July and August are available now.

 Considering the present inflationary trend    as well as  chances for upward movement of the same  in coming month it can be assumed that CPI for Sept’13 may go up to 238 point or more..

                        In such case the average   AICPIN(IW) Base 1960=100 for July and August & September’13  will be as follows.

                         Based on above, it can be expected that  DA payable for Bank Employees/Officers for the months of November to January’14.may go up with increase of  48  slabs  .In case of one more point increase  the  slabs may go up to 50.    .

                        Please  note that this is only an assumption and only on release of  CPI(IW)for Sept the exact DA rate can be arrived,which will be known only on 31^st Oct
