Bihar Pay Committee Submits Report on 6th Wage Commission

Home Secretary Amir Subhani on Monday presented Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi a report prepared by the Pay Committee that would determine the government's decision in implementing the 6th Wage Commission.

The Nitish administration is expected to mull over the report at the upcoming Cabinet meet in Rajgir at the end of this month.

Sources said all indications pointed to a 'New Year Gift' by the state government to the people of Bihar.

The Pay Committee was formed a year ago. Led by Chief Secretary Shubhkirti Majumdar, the Committee also included Bihar Development Commissioner and the Secretary of Finance.

Modi said the government would carefully study the committee report and take proper steps to implement the recommendations made in it.
