West Bengal Pay Commission : Govt. Notification within seven days.

The state F.M. Dr Ashim Dasgupta yesterday said that his Govt, is working fast on the recommendations of the fifth pay commission and will come out with the notification within seven days. The commission has submitted it's report on 12th of this month. The state has asked the centre to share 50 percent of the excess burden earlier. Dr Dasgupta added that though there is nothing in the vote on account about excess allotment to states in this regard, the state Govt. is not holding the implementation. He assured that the pay hike will be implemented as proposed. He was addressing a rally of the Group D employees of the state Govt employees in Kolkata. He assured of training and upliftment of the Group D staff. The state Govt. will sympathetically consider the regularisation of temporary and casual workers who are working for more than 10 years. According to the F.M., there will be no more contractual appointment except extraordinary circumstances and the contracts will not be renewed further. He also assured to consider the interest of the contract workers who are already in job.
